This is an extra race for the winter series raced down at Forrest in conjunction with the Forrest MTB Club
Geelong MTB Club and Forrest MTB Club are combining forces to bring you a great double header weekend of racing. With an XCC race on Saturday afternoon to fire up the legs and then the main event an XCO race on Sunday morning. What better way to spend a weekend down in the fantastic Forrest Region of Victoria. There will also be a Dirt Squirts Race on the Sunday morning before the XCO adults race. The vision for this double header race weekend is to vary up our racing locations and promote some other areas for GMBC members to ride bikes. What better way to do this then to spend a weekend away racing. Why not check out some local accommodation and make a weekend of it. With some great places to stay and eat, combined with awesome trails to race on all mountain bikers should be in heaven.
Dirt Squirts Summer Series Mountain Bike Racing is for 3yo to 14yo Male and Female Riders. The focus is on fun and gaining skills through a typical club racing format.

- Cost: $10
- Online entry only: no on the day entry.

Under 6 Mixed (Ages 3,4,5)
Under 8 Mixed (Ages 6,7)
Under 11 Male (Ages 8,9,10 Male)
Under 11 Female (Ages 8,9,10 Female)
Under 13 Male (Ages 11,12 Male)
Under 13 Female (Ages 11,12 Female)
Under 15 Male (Ages 13,14 Male)
Under 15 Female (Ages 13,14 Female)
Please Note:
* 1st, 2nd and 3rd podium places are awarded to Under 11, Under 13 and Under 15 Categories only with points going towards the end of series trophies.
* Under 6 and Under 8 get participation ribbons
* 5 Year Old’s are able to race in Under 8 but you need to indicate in the comments when you enter in the Under 6 Category so we can change you within the system, I will say the Under 6 course are often a lot more creative and fun but better suited to the smaller bikes.

U13 & U15 – 40 Minutes | U11 – 30 Minutes | U8 – 20 Minutes | U6 – 15 Minutes |
Race Courses will be provided on Facebook closer to the date.
Race Schedule
- 8:30am to 9:15am – Plate Collection (Courses open for Practice)
- 9:15am to 9:30am – Race Briefing
- 9:30am – Race Start
- ~10:30am – Presentations
Event Village:
Will be located at the bottom of Red Carpet Trail off Kaanglang Rd
Parking:
Will be limited at Event Village. Drop off of bulky items is recommended. Parking at Southern Trail head or on Grant Street is recommended.

Check out local accommodation in the area – plenty in Forrest and surrounding suburbs. If heading out for a bite to eat on Saturday night then check out DarTeta Restaurant or the Brewery.
