The You Yangs Yowie (Gigantopithecus australis) is renowned for it's ability to see and not be seen. The Creature has had mystical status for many years.
Ancient history claims that there was a tribal war between the Murrays and the Yowies. The Yowies lost convincingly, as they were smaller and fought unarmed. In concequence, they fled for the mountains and went into hiding. There has been around 3000 sightings to date, yet no confirmation of the species is available.

The You Yangs Yowie can emerge from the ground, camouflaged by shadows and under the cover of darkness move through the bush like the wind. Silent as the moonlight. It is there, you can feel it looking at you but, it is gone. You may not see the Yowie but it will see you.
