GMBC's Annual General Meeting is scheduled for Friday 3rd March after our fun race, BBQ and before the Summer No Frills Series Presentations.
Our events don’t happen by themselves. As a Not For Profit Sports Club we rely heavily on pro-active volunteer Committee Members supported by many dedicated club members willing to help. We'd like this to continue to enable us to improve the quality of the events we bring to all our members and other mountain bikers around the region. While the club is required to fill formal committee roles there are distinct teams within the committee structure that look after certain aspects of the club. We all work together - our Organisation Structure is here.
GMBC are seeking volunteer help from more Club Members as recognised supporters who are willing to be contacted to help by the team leaders in paired-up buddy style format. You dont have to attend committee meetings, your help in the background will be recognised and very much appreciated.

Race Event Coordinators: coordinate and prepare race courses, maps, risk assessments, liaise with Parks Vic Rangers, identify event race directors in advance, set up, run timing system, contracting specific equipment/amenities/facilities, distribute results. Team of 8 people required.
Administration: management of membership lists, liaison with MTBA, liaise with Race Event Coordinators for online entry systems, event day registration, event planning, Club Championship scheduling, permit applications. Team of 6 Leaders required.
Marketing & Purchase: administration of social media sites, creation of events, coordinating prizes/trophy making, answering members queries, event graphics, promotion, merchandise, branding. Team of 6 Leaders required.
Development: plan and run development programs for juniors (Dirt Squirts, Young Guns), seniors, women specific social rides, skills courses/event days. Team of 6 Leaders required.
Trail Development: coordinate working bees, trail maintenance, design & execution of new trails in YYRP & liaise with Surf Coast Trail Group, strategic planning/liaise with local council. New team for 2017-18.
